Solar PV

Residential
Save more with Solar

How does it work?

  • Long Term Investment : Solar panels are made to last more than 25 years
  • Less TNB bill : The more energy is generated, the less energy is needed from the grid
  • Cost-effective : Low maintenance as the solar panels are rigid and have no moving parts
  • Eco-friendly : Unlike fossil fuel, solar energy can help to reduce more carbon emissions

Commercial & Industrial (C&I)
Stress Free with Solar

Reason to invest in solar

  • Less expenses : Your utility bills will be significantly reduced when you generate your own energy
  • Hassle free : All procedure will be handled by Samaiden industry experts
  • Double Tax Incentive : Eligible to apply incentive by government including GITA and CA
  • Enhance company’s identity : Eco-friendly businesses can attract more customers

Ground-mounted
Large Scale Solar (LSS)

LSS is a scheme that allows organizations to generate their own electricity via solar PV farms. For distribution connected solar PV plants, the common capacity installed ranges between 1MW and <30MW, and can be sold to the grid.

Other Renewable Energy

Biomass

Information

The word “biomass” refers to organic matter that has accumulated energy by the photosynthesis process. It remains in one way as plants and can be passed through the food chain to the bodies and wastes of animals, both of which can be converted into daily human use through methods such as combustion, which releases the carbon dioxide contained in plant material.

Malaysia generates at least 168 million tonnes of biomass waste per year. In general, palm oil waste accounts for 94% of biomass feedstock while the remaining contributors are agricultural and forestry by-products. Several campaigns are being launched by the government to encourage the long-term use of Malaysia’s biomass resources.

Samaiden provides services such as:

  • Consultancy service on Biomass Boiler System / Biomass Power Plant System
  • Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Commissioning (EPCC) solution on Biomass Boiler System / Biomass Power Plant System
  • Build-Own-Operate (BOO) on Biomass Boiler System / Biomass Power Plant System
  • Build-Own-Transfer (BOT) on Biomass Boiler System / Biomass Power Plant System

Biogas

Information

Since 2016, the Malaysian biogas industry has grown, fueled primarily by the palm oil industry. The government’s proposed requirement that almost all palm oil mill effluent be digested by 2020 as part of the National Transformation Programme, Key Economic Area, and the implementation of feed in tariffs for electricity produced has participated in the installation of anaerobic digester (AD) at palm oil mills.

Malaysia is a rapidly expanding country, therefore its prospects for sustainable energy generation are hotly debated. Malaysian municipal solid waste (MSW) is expected to grow at a 3.3 percent annual pace, while power consumption will grow at a 3.3 percent yearly pace.

Samaiden provides services such as:

  • Consultancy service on Biogas System
  • Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Commissioning (EPCC) solution on Biogas System
  • Build-Own-Operate (BOO) on Biogas System
  • Build-Own-Transfer (BOT) on Biogas System

Government Initiative Programme

NEM, SELCO or FIT?

NEM

Your solar power system’s excess electricity will be sold to the grid automatically.

SELCO

Any electricity generated by your solar power system will be used solely for your building.

FIT

Malaysia’s Feed-in Tariff (FiT) system obliges Distribution Licensees (DLs) Read More

NEM

Net Energy Metering (NEM) scheme is a government initiative to encourage more people to adopt solar PV systems as it allows consumers to export back any excess energy to the grid on a “one-on-one” offset basis. As a result, no energy is wasted and you can enjoy a much lower electricity bill if your system generates more energy than you require.

SELCO

The Self-Consumption (SELCO) programme is meant to help your business in minimising the overall energy consumption, particularly when your industry is required to operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

FIT

Malaysia’s Feed-in Tariff (FiT) system obliges Distribution Licensees (DLs) to buy from Feed-in Approval Holders (FIAHs) the electricity produced from renewable resources and sets the FiT rate. The DLs will pay for renewable energy supplied to the electricity grid for a specific duration.
