SAMAIDEN INKS 20-YEAR SOLAR ENERGY POWER PURCHASE AGREEMENT WITH MAXELL TOHSHIN

Samaiden Group Berhad (“Samaiden”), a renewable energy (“RE”) specialist principally involved in engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (“EPCC”) of solar photovoltaic (“PV”) systems and power plants, is thrilled to announce a strategic Power Purchase Agreement (“PPA”) with Maxell Tohshin (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (“Maxell Tohshin”), a company engaged in the design and manufacture of ultra-precision molds and lens mold technologies ranging from small diameters for image optics to thick and larger diameter for illumination optics.

This significant agreement, spanning 20 years, represents a pivotal commitment to sustainable energy usage in manufacturing, highlighting a joint dedication to environmental responsibility. Under this accord, Samaiden will spearhead the design and implementation of an advanced solar PV system, with a capacity of 1,028.28 kilowatt peak (kWp) at Maxell Tohshin’s facilities. This endeavor is poised to substantially reduce carbon emissions from manufacturing operations, with an anticipated annual avoidance of approximately 974.66 tonnes of carbon emission (CO2e), aligning with both companies’ aspirations for a more eco-friendly industrial landscape.
